While fatalities among power boats is trending downward, unfortunately with paddle craft they are climbing every year. A huge contributor is the inexperience of the paddler. This presentation covers choosing the right type of craft, the importance of wearing a personal flotation device (life jacket), equipment that is required and recommended, and the dangers of cold water shock.
