While fatalities among power boats is trending downward, unfortunately with paddle craft they are climbing every year. A huge contributor is the inexperience of the paddler. This presentation covers choosing the right type of craft, the importance of wearing a personal flotation device (life jacket), equipment that is required and recommended, and the dangers of cold water shock. Presented by Terry A. Paggi of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Signup required.
