Invisible Warriors shares the individual experiences of a small group of elegant ladies who represent the 600,000 Black women who fled their lives as domestics and sharecroppers to work in factories and U.S. government offices during World War II. These patriotic pioneers share their wartime memories, recounting their battles against racism at home, Nazism abroad, and sexism everywhere.

The live introduction and closing Q&A feature the film's producer Gregory S. Cooke. Cooke is the Founder and President of the Basil and Becky Educational Foundation (BBEEF), a 501c (3) organization dedicated to relocating African Americans from the margins to the main pages of American and global history.
This program is proudly presented in partnership with over 50 Illinois public libraries and the College of DuPage.
Gregory S. Cooke has dedicated his career as an educator and historian to help relocate African Americans to the main pages of history. Invisible Warriors is his directorial debut following a successful stint as Associate Director on Choc’late Soldiers from the USA.
