Random Acts of Kindness Week 2020 is February 16 - February 23. Random Acts of Kindness Week, also known as RAK Week has been observed annually since 1995 and is celebrated the week of February 17 each year. Be a part of the movement to create positive change in our community. The world could use a big hug right now. :)
Speaker Tom Kens will share his experience volunteering along with Brooklyn Knedlik (author of Operation Day Maker), and local nonprofit organizations such as Together We Cope, All God’s People, Treasure Chest, Kindness Rocks, and the Tinley Park Historical Society.
Speaker Tom Kens is a proud veteran of the armed forces, founder of the Sole Seekers Walking Club™, self-help author, healthy living teacher at Moraine Valley Community College, and lifelong resident of Tinley Park. Serving in the United States Navy, Tom fought to promote freedom and democracy worldwide. Stateside, Tom continues to fight for freedom as he helps Americans battle the stress and fatigue that leads to mediocrity in life.
Through his Small Steps to a Healthier You series of talks, Tom has helped thousands of people throughout the country live healthier, happier lives. With the popularity of the talks growing, he has taken the series to libraries, colleges, prisons, churches, retirement communities, and businesses alike.
Tom, his wife, Amy, and their two children live in Tinley Park.
