Join us for an original one-woman musical about the enigmatic Swedish film star, Greta Garbo!
Considered by many the greatest film actress of all time, her image was that of androgynous glamour. Dissatisfied with Hollywood scripts, and her natural beauty starting to fade, she retired from the screen at 36 and became a recluse in Manhattan. Miss G’s spicy and revealing story answers all the burning questions the world has been dying to know about “The Garbo.”
Two of her long-term lovers - one male, one female - help to tell her story more truthfully. The male character is Cecil Beaton, the British designer and photographer, and the female character is Mercedes De Acosta, who was a literary, adamant lesbian of her day. Presented by storyteller Jillann Gabrielle, playing all three characters. It is a tale told in the style of Victor Victoria. Very tasteful, very sophisticated. Signup required.
